Name Origin
"Remember that a person´s character is never defined by their name, their (hundrets of) ancestors, their age, their occupation, their gender, their spiritual beliefs, their political opinions, their nationality or their education level. However, a person´s character is defined by the choices they make: either towards the detriment or betterment of themselves and other beings."

First Name Tania

My first name Tania was given to me on my birthday (in 1980). The first name “Tania” (Tanja or Tanya) is often associated with Saint Tatiana of Rome, an Italian Christian, who was beheaded by the roman emperor Severus Alexander. In different cultures, Tania is translated as "the fighter", "the militant", "the combative", "the courageous" or "the founder". In royal circles it was associated with prosperity or wealth. The name was often given to nobility, symbolizing strength, intelligence and leadership skills.
Legend has it, that she was thrown into a lion's pit, but the big cat tamely lay down at her feet. "Tatiana" is derived from Latin "Tatianus" which has its origin in "Tatius" (King of the Sabines, in pre-imperial Italy). Holy Tatiana's honoring day is celebrated on January 12th (or 25th, depending on which calendar you follow, Julian or Gregorian).
